As a daycare provider and mom to three adult children I know what you’re going through. Parenting is tough. No two children are the same. That means there is no one-size-fits-all way to raise children except to embrace who each one is and accept them for the blessing they are.
“Nice words, Janet. But how do I do that when I’m tired, we’re late, and they won’t do what they’re told,” you might ask. I will partner with you to help you realize the parent you always hoped you would be. I will give you an empathetic, non-judgmental ear, I will encourage you and offer tools for you to realize your vision for your family and to see it manifested in your life.
You know your family better than anyone else, each family is different and each child is unique, there are no cookie cutter answers. I will come alongside you, listen and support you. Together we will step back and look at your family, we will celebrate all that is beautiful and fulfilling in it. I will partner with you as you look at your struggles and what is not working in your relationship with your children. I will help you find alternative ways to build on your relationships and to move through your struggles to a stronger, peaceful, committed family.
Change of any kind takes effort and a willingness to move forward. As parents our job is to take care of this precious life we have been entrusted with. We not only have to take care of their physical needs but their emotional, educational and spiritual needs. That is an awesome responsibility, we all want to get it right, our kids and society are depending on it. We need to do whatever it takes to be the best parents we can be.
I believe that you are the best parent for your child. No one knows them and loves them like you do. I am committed to help you to find your confidence in parenting to realize your vision for your family and to make it a reality.
As the mother of three grown children and five grandchildren I will share from my experiences as a mom and a Grammy. I have also had the privilege of working with families in my daycare and preschool. I have seen parents become overwhelmed with the stresses of life. This so often leads to losing the joy in their family life.
It is difficult to understand that what worked for your first child isn’t working for your second or why you sound just like your mother.
I believe we need to parent with intention. To create an environment where our children feel safe and secure, nurtured and loved, where they feel heard, valued and can grow into confident, loving, compassionate people who will contribute to society. It is a big responsibility, but you can do it. I am here to come alongside you, to encourage and inspire you to the parent you always wanted to be.
